Political Action Committee

Washington Pilots Association Political Action Committee (WPA-PAC) is your advocate for general aviation interests in Washington State. Make General Aviation stronger by contributing to the WPA Political Action Committee. Together we CAN keep General Aviation healthy and growing! Your contributions are essential to keeping Washington’s airports open and accessible to all of aviation. For more information call a local chapter.

What is Washington Pilots Association Political Action Committee?

The WPA-PAC is an independent fund of voluntary, personal contributions. The fund is strictly regulated by the Federal Election Commission. Funds you contribute are used by political candidates to defray campaign costs and by Washington Pilots Association Political Action Committee to lobby elected officials to support general aviation. WPA-PAC is a completely non-partisan entity. Its primary goals are to elect public officials who are pro general aviation, inform and educate elected officials about general aviation, and to promote laws or regulations that promote general aviation.

“The WPA-PAC By-Laws were read into the Board Minutes on November 11, 2017 as a draft for comments by members. They will be scheduled for update and approval at the next Board meeting.” Please call or write if you have questions. A copy of the proposed by-laws can be accessed from here. Download Here

Why should I support WPA-PAC?

The WPA-PAC pools your dollars with contributions from other pilots and aircraft owners throughout Washington. This gives general aviation a greater say in State legislation, and gives us the means to assure State and local officials understand how important General Aviation is to Washington.

Who can contribute to the WPA-PAC?
  1. Individuals may contribute up to $5,000 to Washington Pilots Association Political Action Committee per calendar year.
  2. Personal and corporate contributions are accepted.
  3. Federal law requires Washington Pilots Association Political Action Committee to use its best efforts to collect and report the name, address, occupation and employer of individuals contributing more than $200 in a calendar year.
